UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. — A driver has died following a crash Friday evening in Upper Macungie Township, according to authorities.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 6:45 p.m. to the intersection of Lower Macungie Road and Hamilton Boulevard, near the entrance of the former Air Products site, for reports of a serious vehicle crash.
Police say the driver’s vehicle struck a snow bank before rolling over. The impact caused significant injuries to the driver.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the identity of the driver at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
Road conditions and winter weather may have been contributing factors, but officials have not confirmed an official cause.
