DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Authorities are investigating after an adult man was found dead Wednesday night near an athletic field on the campus of Central Bucks West High School in Bucks County.
According to school officials, the body was discovered in the area near Pettine Field, a practice and athletic facility located on the school grounds.
In an email sent to families and staff, administrators said police responded to the campus and are currently handling the investigation.
Officials stated the incident appears to be isolated, and police have indicated there is no threat to students, staff, or the school community.
“According to police, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to students, staff, or the campus,” the message said in part.
Authorities have not released the identity of the man, and the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
School officials said the affected area has been secured and that classes are expected to operate on a normal schedule.
