BATH BOROUGH, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a large fight involving approximately 15 to 20 juveniles temporarily shut down part of a neighborhood in Bath Borough, Northampton County on Thursday.
Troopers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Main Street for reports of possible gunshots in the area.
When police arrived, investigators determined that no shots had actually been fired. Authorities said the situation involved a large physical altercation between multiple juveniles in the roadway, along with a vehicle that was stopped in the street during the disturbance.
Due to the size of the fight and the initial reports of gunfire, police temporarily closed portions of the roadway while officers secured the scene and investigated.
Additional resources responded to assist with the investigation as troopers worked to determine what led up to the altercation.
Police have not reported any confirmed injuries at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
