A mild and mainly dry day is expected across the area Sunday before wetter weather moves in late.
According to the forecast, patchy drizzle is possible before 10 a.m., followed by partly sunny skies and a high near 69 degrees. A slight chance of showers returns after 5 p.m., but much of the daytime should remain fairly quiet.
Conditions are expected to deteriorate tonight as rain and thunderstorms move in before 4 a.m. Rain is then likely to continue overnight with temperatures dropping to around 42 degrees.
Forecasters say precipitation chances increase to 90% tonight, with rainfall totals between a half inch and three quarters of an inch possible in some areas.
Residents should enjoy the mild daytime weather while it lasts and be prepared for a wet overnight period with possible thunderstorms moving through the region.
