
QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — Emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle accident Friday at the intersection of Broad Street and South 7th Street in Quakertown that left one vehicle overturned and the driver trapped inside.
According to initial reports, the crash involved two vehicles and resulted in one vehicle coming to rest on its roof. Firefighters from Quakertown Fire Company No. 1 arrived on scene and found the driver unable to exit the overturned vehicle.
Crews quickly initiated rescue operations and performed a door removal to safely free the trapped occupant. The driver was successfully extricated and evaluated by EMS personnel at the scene.
Authorities reported that only minor injuries were sustained in the crash.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Traffic in the area was impacted while emergency crews worked to assist the victim and clear the roadway.
