ROBESON TWP., Pa. – A deadly fire that broke out in a Robeson Township home early Monday morning claimed the lives of two people and sent three others to the hospital.
According to police, the fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. at a residence in the 700 block of White Bear Road. Emergency responders rescued three individuals from the house, and they were subsequently taken to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the Berks County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that two victims were pronounced dead. Their identities have not yet been released.
Additionally, two firefighters sustained injuries and were transported to the burn center at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.
