Initial reports indicated a working fire in a three-story middle-of-the-row residential structure. Upon arrival, command requested a 2nd alarm as crews encountered heavy fire conditions.
According to emergency radio traffic, firefighters reported a victim attempting to climb out from the third floor as crews arrived on scene. Firefighters quickly initiated rescue and fire suppression operations.
Scanner reports indicated that three people were transported to local hospitals following the incident. Their conditions have not been released.
A dog was also rescued from the building and was seen being brought from the structure in apparent good condition.
Firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control and prevent extension to neighboring attached homes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
