
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — An early morning apartment building fire in the City of Allentown brought a heavy fire department response to 1317 W. Chew Street, where firefighters reportedly pulled one victim from the first floor.
According to initial emergency information, Allentown Fire Department crews were operating at an apartment building fire when a victim was removed from the first floor of the structure. CPR was performed on the victim at the scene.
The victim’s condition has not yet been released.
Firefighters remained on scene checking for extension, ventilating the building, and making sure no additional occupants were inside.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Additional information is expected to be released as officials continue their review.
