

Fire breaks out Friday afternoon; one person transported for smoke inhalation
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Fire crews responded Friday afternoon to a dwelling fire in the 800 block of North Jasper Street, where heavy smoke was reported coming from a two-story end-of-row residence.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke showing and immediately stretched a line to the front door to begin interior operations.
According to early reports, one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation due to smoke inhalation. No additional injuries have been reported.
Crews worked to bring the fire under control, though the cause of the blaze has not yet been determined, and officials have not released information on the extent of the damage.
