The first shooting was reported around 6:53 p.m. at a home in the 600 block of West Gordon Street.
Investigators said responding officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds while lying on the side porch of his home.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office as Mark Little, 59, of Allentown.
According to information released by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, investigators recovered 14 shell casings near Little.
A 911 caller reported seeing a shooter wearing a yellow ski mask, gray hoodie and white pants running on North Church Street. Investigators said other witnesses provided additional descriptions, including that the shooter was wearing distinctive white-and-black New Balance sneakers.
Authorities have now reported that an arrest has been made in connection with the Gordon Street homicide. The screenshots you provided do not show the suspect’s name or charges, so I would hold those details until we have the actual DA or police release in front of us.
The second fatal shooting happened approximately an hour later.
Allentown Police said officers responded around 8:17 p.m. to the area of South Front Street and East Cumberland Street and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was treated at the scene by police, Allentown EMS and fire personnel before being transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
A suspect was taken into custody at that scene.
Barrett Griggs, 39, of Schuylkill Haven, has been charged with homicide and persons not to possess firearms in connection with the second shooting.
Allentown Police have confirmed that the two fatal shootings are not related.
The investigations involve the Allentown Police Department, Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office and Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
