
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Allentown Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured Friday night near a McDonald’s restaurant on Union Boulevard.
According to the Allentown Police Department, officers responded around 9:10 p.m. on May 15, 2026, to the McDonald’s located at 1321 Union Boulevard for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say officers immediately rendered lifesaving aid before the victim was transported by Allentown EMS to a local hospital.
Authorities said the victim is currently being treated for injuries and is expected to survive.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a disturbance where several gunshots were fired. During the investigation, officers recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the incident.
The investigation is being handled by the Allentown Police Patrol Division along with the Criminal Investigations Division.
Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing, but there is currently no threat to the community.
