RUSCOMBMANOR TWP., Pa. – in Berks County claimed one life Saturday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 1:07 p.m. to the intersection of Fraser and Blandon roads in Ruscombmanor Township for reports of a multi-vehicle collision.
Authorities say the crash involved a passenger vehicle and a Mack truck. The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicles collided head-on. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released the identity of the victim, pending family notification.
The crash resulted in extended road closures as investigators worked to reconstruct the scene and crews cleared the wreckage. It remains unclear what led to the crash, and no further injuries have been reported at this time.
The Pennsylvania State Police are continuing their investigation.
