PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Philadelphia Eagles have bolstered their secondary in a major midseason move, acquiring two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens, the team confirmed Saturday.

The deal sends Alexander and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Philadelphia in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick, according to sources familiar with the trade.

Alexander, 28, joined the Ravens this past June on a one-year, $6 million contract, but appeared in only two games for Baltimore this season before the move. Once regarded as one of the league’s elite lockdown corners during his tenure with the Green Bay Packers, Alexander struggled with injuries and limited playing time in recent years.

For the Eagles, the acquisition comes at a crucial time as the team looks to shore up a secondary that has battled inconsistency and injuries through the first half of the season. With standout corner Darius Slay nursing a nagging knee issue and the defense allowing more explosive plays than usual, Alexander’s arrival adds much-needed depth and experience to the backfield.

Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman has a reputation for aggressive roster management, and this move continues that trend—adding a proven veteran at low financial and draft cost.

Alexander has 10 career interceptions and over 60 pass breakups since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2018. His physical style and coverage instincts could make him a quick fit in Philadelphia’s defensive scheme.

The Eagles are expected to integrate Alexander into the lineup as early as next week’s matchup, depending on his physical and playbook readiness.
