BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. – A former Five Below store manager already jailed on sexual assault charges now faces additional counts after prosecutors say he attacked a coworker at a Halloween attraction and repeatedly abused a 12-year-old child.
Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan announced the new charges against Edward A. Eisenhard on Tuesday, describing him as a serial predator who targeted women and girls at work and at home. Investigators believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Valley of Fear assault
According to a criminal complaint, Eisenhard approached a female employee working alone at the Valley of Fear Halloween attraction in Lower Southampton Township on Sept. 25, the attraction’s opening night. Eisenhard, who had worked there for 10 seasons and was her supervisor, allegedly grabbed her by the throat so tightly she struggled to breathe, pinned her wrists above her head against a wall, made sexual comments, and indecently assaulted her over her clothing.
Valley of Fear fired him the next day.
He is charged in that case with strangulation, simple assault, indecent assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
Five Below arrest
Two days later, on Sept. 27, Eisenhard allegedly sexually assaulted an employee at the Five Below store where he worked as a manager. The victim told Hilltown Township police he sent her to clean the stockroom, made lewd comments, then restrained and assaulted her.
He was arrested Oct. 1 on an aggravated indecent assault charge and has remained in jail, unable to post bail. Officials say two more victims came forward after that arrest.
Child abuse charges
In a separate Springfield Township case, Eisenhard is accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile victim on two occasions. He faces four counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault, plus one count each of corruption of minors and harassment.
No bail requested
Prosecutors will ask that Eisenhard be held without bail when he is arraigned on the new charges.
“Serial sexual predators should not be able to buy themselves out of jail,” Khan said, adding that the request follows the no-cash-bail policy for such cases he set when he took office.
Khan also tied the case to the season: “Some monsters are real and want to do violence to our children and other loved ones.” He urged other victims to come forward, saying, “You are not alone.”
Assistant District Attorney Victoria Pollock is prosecuting the cases.
Anyone who may have been a victim or has information about Eisenhard is asked to call Bucks County Detectives at 215-348-6354.
