LOWER SAUCON TWP., Pa. – Fire crews from across Northampton County responded to a fully involved structure fire in the 1700 block of Meadows Road on Saturday, prompting a second alarm for additional manpower and resources.

The fire was reported at a structure in the area of 1770 Meadows Road, where arriving units found heavy fire conditions and went to work on an active blaze. Command upgraded the incident to a 2nd alarm, bringing in more companies to assist with water supply, firefighting operations, and support on scene.

Firefighters were observed operating multiple handlines and working around the structure as they worked to bring the flames under control. Additional tankers and mutual aid units were called to assist.

There was no immediate word on injuries or the extent of damage to the building.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
