Thomson explained that Harper did not play much during spring training and had only played two games in the past eight days. Harper scraped his left hand during the fall but remained in the game for seven innings. He was removed in the eighth inning because the game was already out of hand. Thomson anticipates Harper’s return to the team’s lineup on Monday for their game against the Reds.
