The NASCAR community is mourning the loss of legendary driver Kyle Busch, who has died at the age of 41 after reportedly suffering from a severe illness.
Busch’s family announced earlier Thursday that the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion had been hospitalized and was undergoing treatment. Hours later, NASCAR confirmed his passing, sending shockwaves throughout the motorsports world.
Known by fans as “Rowdy,” Busch built one of the most accomplished careers in NASCAR history and was widely considered one of the greatest drivers of his generation.
During his historic career, Busch earned:

- More than 60 NASCAR Cup Series victories
- Over 100 NASCAR Xfinity Series wins

Busch began his NASCAR career at a young age and quickly became one of the sport’s most recognizable stars because of his aggressive driving style, fiery personality, and unmatched competitiveness on the track.
Throughout his career, Busch drove for powerhouse organizations including Joe Gibbs Racing and Richard Childress Racing. He remained one of NASCAR’s biggest names even during the later stages of his career.
Following the announcement of his death, tributes from drivers, teams, fans, and racing organizations immediately began pouring in across social media as the racing world remembered Busch’s impact on the sport.
NASCAR released a statement calling Busch “one of the sport’s greatest and fiercest drivers.”
