At around 1:40 AM, fire crews were called to the hundred block of S. 17th St. The police were out on patrol when they noticed a three-story residential building with heavy flames showing. The police assisted the residents to safety and a second alarm was issued, bringing in multiple surrounding fire departments before the fire was brought under control.
