ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A juvenile has been charged following a shooting early Wednesday morning at a hotel in Allentown, according to police.
Authorities say officers responded around 4:53 a.m. on April 1, 2026, to the Red Roof Inn located at 2650 Moravian Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.
Shortly after officers arrived, a victim showed up at a nearby hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.
Following an investigation by the Allentown Police Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division, officials determined the incident stemmed from a disturbance inside one of the hotel rooms.
Police confirmed the firearm used in the shooting has been recovered.
A 17-year-old male from Allentown was taken into custody and charged in connection with the incident.

The juvenile is facing multiple charges, including:
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Persons Not to Possess a Firearm Possession of a Firearm by a Minor Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License
Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect due to age.
Police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing but stated no further information will be released at this time.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
