WEST NORRITON / BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — October 17–18, 2025
Authorities are investigating multiple shootings across Montgomery County Friday night that left at least six people injured and several others hospitalized.
Wawa Shooting in West Norriton Township
The first scene unfolded around 9:00 p.m. at the Wawa located at 2540 West Main Street in West Norriton Township.
Police say several gunmen opened fire in the parking lot and gas-pump area, striking multiple victims before fleeing the scene.
Emergency crews responded quickly and found at least six individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two victims were reported to have serious injuries — one with a gunshot wound to the face and another with injuries to the extremities. All victims were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Investigators believe the incident may have involved rival motorcycle gangs following reports of a confrontation prior to the gunfire. Witnesses told police that several motorcyclists were seen speeding away from the area immediately after the shooting.
Officials say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, and there is currently no active threat to the public.
Second Scene in Bridgeport
Not long after the West Norriton incident, police and EMS were called to 908 DeKalb Street in Bridgeport for reports of additional shooting victims.
Crews arriving on scene found two more individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Chester County EMS was requested to assist due to the number of patients.
Authorities are investigating whether the Bridgeport shooting is directly connected to the West Norriton incident. Both scenes remain under active investigation by local police and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau.
Ongoing Investigation
As of early Saturday, no arrests have been confirmed and the identities of the victims have not been released.
Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses as they work to determine the motive behind the shootings and whether the two locations are linked.
Police are urging anyone with information, photos, or video footage from either scene to contact the West Norriton Township Police Department or Montgomery County Detectives.
Residents are advised to avoid the areas while the investigation continues.
