NORTHAMPTON BOROUGH – Early this morning, shortly after 1:30 AM, fire crews were dispatched to the 2400 block of Main Street following reports of a structure fire. Emergency responders arrived to find heavy flames shooting from a vacant two-story building.
Due to the intensity of the fire, a second alarm was sounded to mobilize additional resources to bring the blaze under control. Firefighters worked diligently to contain the fire, which posed a significant risk in the surrounding area.
Fortunately, there were no reports of injury, as the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
