The Philadelphia Phillies continued their strong play Wednesday night, rallying late to defeat the Athletics by a final score of 6-3 at Citizens Bank Park.

Philadelphia came through with a huge eighth inning after battling through a tight game most of the night. The Phillies offense delivered in key moments, helping the team pull away late and secure another important win.

Edmundo Sosa delivered one of the biggest hits of the game with a go-ahead two-run single during the late rally. Adolis García also added a home run earlier in the night, while Brandon Marsh stayed hot at the plate with multiple hits to help keep the offense moving.

On the mound, Zack Wheeler gave the Phillies another strong outing, keeping the team within reach before the bullpen shut things down late. Philadelphia’s pitching staff combined for several key outs in the final innings to preserve the victory.

The Phillies continue showing signs of finding consistency with improved hitting, cleaner defense, and strong late-game execution as momentum continues building in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia will now look to carry the energy into the next matchup as the push through the NL East continues.
