PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — The Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department is mourning the loss of Firefighter/Paramedic Demair Lloyd.
According to the department, Lloyd suffered a medical emergency at home after completing his regular 24-hour shift.
Lloyd had served with the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department since 2006 and was assigned to Station 841 in Calverton. During his career, he was known for his dedication to the citizens he served, his department, and his fellow firefighters and paramedics.
Department officials said Lloyd was more than a respected colleague — he was a trusted friend whose impact will be remembered by those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
His passing leaves a tremendous void within the fire department family.
