QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — A Bucks County judge has sentenced a 47-year-old Quakertown man to decades in state prison after authorities say he trafficked methamphetamine and fentanyl throughout the region.

Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr sentenced Brendan Craig Hamrick to 15 to 31 years in a state correctional institution on multiple felony drug-trafficking charges, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said Hamrick pleaded guilty in October to:

  • nine counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
  • nine counts of possession of a controlled substance
  • nine counts of possession of drug paraphernalia

Investigators said the case stemmed from an ongoing narcotics investigation in which detectives recovered methamphetamine, fentanyl, packaging materials, scales, and other items consistent with drug distribution.

The DA’s office noted that fentanyl continues to be a leading driver of overdoses across Bucks County and the region, and prosecutors argued that lengthy prison time was appropriate due to the danger posed to the community.

Hamrick will also be subject to supervised release following his sentence.

No additional details about the investigation or arrests were immediately released.
