SELLERSVILLE, Pa. — The Sellersville Volunteer Fire Department is warning local businesses about fraudulent calls from people claiming the department will conduct fire inspections.
The department said it was made aware of calls telling businesses that inspections would take place Friday, Oct. 16. The fire department does not conduct fire inspections, officials said.
Businesses are urged not to allow anyone claiming to represent the department to enter their property for an inspection. Anyone who receives one of these calls should use caution and avoid providing access to their business.
The department asked the community to share the warning to help protect local businesses.
