PERKASIE, Pa. – A fast-moving two-alarm fire destroyed a two-story single-family home in Perkasie Borough on Saturday evening, sending two people – including a firefighter – to the hospital.
The blaze broke out around 6:54 p.m. in the 200 block of Spring Lane, located behind the Perkasie Square Shopping Center and Landis Supermarket. Heavy fire quickly consumed the structure, with flames visible from blocks away and a large column of smoke – known as a smoke header – spotted from as far as five miles.
Multiple fire departments from across Bucks County responded to the scene. Despite aggressive firefighting efforts, at least half of the home was destroyed within the first hour.
Officials confirmed that two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately released.
Fire crews remained on scene into the night, dousing hot spots and ensuring the fire was fully extinguished. The cause of the blaze is under investigation by local fire marshals.
