Snow Emergencies Lifted Across the Region as Dig-Out Begins

As winter storm cleanup continues across Bucks County, Montgomery County, the Lehigh Valley, and surrounding areas, many cities and townships have officially lifted their snow emergency declarations, allowing residents to resume normal parking and travel in most locations.

After hours of plowing, salting, and road treatment, crews made significant progress clearing primary roads, neighborhoods, and business corridors. While conditions have improved, officials warn that snow-packed side streets, narrow roadways, and snowbanks along curbs may still create difficult parking situations in many communities.

Residents are urged to continue using caution while driving and walking, especially in areas where melting snow may refreeze overnight.

Share Your Snowfall Photos and Totals

Now that the storm has moved out, First Source News wants to see how much snow your area received.

How deep was the snowfall where you live?

Did your street get fully cleared yet?

Your photos may be featured in our ongoing storm coverage across social media and FirstSourceNews.net.

Parking and Travel Still a Challenge in Some Areas

Even with snow emergencies lifted, many urban neighborhoods and tight residential streets remain congested with plowed snow piles, making parking difficult and visibility limited at intersections.

Officials recommend:

• Allowing extra time for travel

• Avoiding blocking plows or emergency access areas

• Watching for pedestrians walking around snowbanks

• Clearing hydrants and sidewalks when possible

Storm cleanup efforts are expected to continue through the day as crews widen roads and remove remaining buildup.

Stay with First Source News for continued winter weather updates, road conditions, and community storm coverage.
