LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa. — The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that three deaths reported over the weekend have been ruled weather-related following the powerful winter storm that impacted the region.

According to Coroner Daniel A. Buglio, the individuals were all adults who experienced sudden medical emergencies while taking part in snow removal and shoveling activities. Each death was determined to be natural in manner, with cold temperatures and physical exertion believed to be contributing factors.

Officials say the victims ranged in age from their early 60s to mid-80s. Out of respect for the families, names and specific details surrounding each incident have not been released.

The fatalities come as the Lehigh Valley continues cleanup efforts after significant snowfall and dangerously cold conditions that created hazardous travel and strenuous cleanup conditions across the county.

The Coroner’s Office is reminding residents to take frequent breaks while shoveling, avoid overexertion, dress in warm layers, and check on elderly or vulnerable neighbors during extreme winter weather.

Authorities continue to monitor weather-related incidents and urge the public to prioritize safety as cold temperatures persist across the region.
