A tractor-trailer caught fire on Friday morning on Interstate 476 North, causing one person to be hospitalized and bringing traffic to a halt. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission reported the incident around 5:25 a.m. near Mile Marker 51 of I-476 North, located between the Quakertown and Lehigh Valley exits. As of 7:35 a.m. Friday, the crews were still at the scene. Drivers are advised to expect delays. Although the fire has been put out, officials report that the right lane of I-476 North remains closed. The PA Turnpike officials have confirmed that one person was taken to a local hospital.
