Tractor-Trailer Overturns on Route 611 in Plumstead Township
A tractor-trailer loaded with over 45,000 pounds of packaged mulch overturned on Route 611 North Bypass in Plumstead Township on Friday afternoon. Fortunately, despite the incident, traffic on the roadway continued to flow normally, with only minor gaper delays observed.
The driver successfully extricated themselves from the tractor cab and was reported safe, according to emergency radio traffic. The accident occurred around 2 p.m., just past Swamp Road and north of North Easton Road, in a curve near the Central Bucks School of Gymnastics and Dance.
Reports indicated that the tractor-trailer was carrying approximately 48,000 pounds of bagged mulch at the time of the incident.
Emergency responders, including the Plumstead Police, Plumsteadville Fire Company, Doylestown Fire Company, and Central Bucks EMS, quickly arrived at the scene to assist.
