
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A 17-year-old male was killed and two other individuals were injured following a shooting Saturday night in Allentown, according to the Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
Police say officers responded at approximately 10:01 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, to the intersection of North Jay Street and East North Street for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered three victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Allentown Police officers and Allentown EMS personnel immediately rendered aid before all three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
One of the victims, a 17-year-old male from Allentown, later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:31 p.m. in the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.
The Coroner’s Office determined the teen died from gunshot injuries and has ruled the death a homicide.
Authorities have positively identified the victim but are withholding his name at this time to allow family members the opportunity to grieve privately and complete notifications.
As is standard procedure in fatal shooting investigations, an autopsy is scheduled to be conducted Monday at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Allentown Police Department, Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation remains active, and authorities have not released additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Coroner Buglio extended condolences to the victim’s family, friends, loved ones, and all those impacted by the tragic loss.
