NOCKAMIXON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A 77-year-old Ottsville man has died following a crash involving an electric scooter and another vehicle on Route 611 in Bucks County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred during the early afternoon of Saturday, August 29, along the 900 block of Easton Road (Route 611) in Nockamixon Township.
State police said both the electric scooter and another vehicle were traveling northbound. The vehicle was traveling in the right lane while the scooter was traveling along the right shoulder.
According to the preliminary investigation, the vehicle struck the scooter while overtaking it as both continued northbound.
The 77-year-old man operating the scooter suffered serious injuries in the crash and later died from his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
