A new 12-screen movie theater called R/C Richland Crossings Movies 12 is set to open in Richland Township, Pennsylvania, outside of Quakertown. The theater will feature luxury heated recliner seating, premium large-format auditoriums (RCX), Dolby Atmos surround sound, laser projectors, and other amenities. The tentative soft opening of the theater is scheduled for March 1, according to Scott Cohen, R/C Theatres’ president and CEO. The theater will have all luxury heated recliner seating, an expanded snack bar, wall-to-wall screens, online ticketing, and reserved seating. Discounts will be offered to children (ages 11 and under), seniors (ages 60 and older), and active military members. The theater will also offer discounted pricing on Tuesdays through a promotion called “Bargain Tuesday”. Additionally, the theater will have a family-friendly summer series for six weeks, where popular kids and family-friendly movies will be shown for free or $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the morning. Other promotions and discounts will also be offered throughout the year, including a holiday movie showing where a holiday movie will be shown in the morning for $1 or for free. R/C Theatres has many locations in Pennsylvania, including Reading Movies 11 & IMAX, Wilkes Barre Movies 14, Carlisle Commons Movies 8, Hanover Movies 16, Queensgate Movies 13 & IMAX in York, and Gateway Theater 8 near Gettysburg.
