The Learjet 55 was carrying a mother and her child, along with four other passengers, when it crashed at approximately 6 p.m. Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker remarked, “It was only airborne for a short period before something went terribly wrong and it crashed.”
During a Sunday afternoon press conference, Mayor Parker highlighted the importance of accurate information amid a surge of misinformation on social media. “We are being very intentional in reinforcing the facts,” she stated.
Witnesses of the disastrous incident have described the scene as horrific. All six individuals onboard the flight lost their lives, along with one person on the ground. Mayor Parker confirmed that all six victims were Mexican citizens.

- Valentina Guzman Murillo – Pediatric patient, who was in the city for care at Shriners Children’s Hospital
- Lizaeth Murillo Osuna – Valentina’s mother
