MILFORD TWP., Pa. — Authorities have charged a Bucks County woman in connection with a fatal crash that killed two people and injured a pregnant woman earlier this year.

According to the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, 29-year-old Tori Gutshall of Quakertown was charged Wednesday with two counts each of homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, and accidents involving death while not licensed, along with other related offenses.

Investigators say the crash occurred on John Fries Highway (Route 663) in Milford Township during rainy and foggy conditions. Gutshall was allegedly speeding and talking on a cellphone when her vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head-on.

On Jan. 31, Gutshall was driving northbound on John Fries Highway in Bucks County when she swerved into the southbound lane, hitting the Bisschop family’s vehicle head-on, the Attorney General’s Office said.

Before coming to a stop, Gutshall’s vehicle struck a second vehicle, occupied by a pregnant woman, who was hospitalized with minor injuries, according to officials.

An eyewitness to the crash told investigators that Gutshall’s vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision.

Gutshall was arraigned, and bail was set at $200,000, the Attorney General’s Office said.

Officials added that the case was referred to the AG’s Office by the Pennsylvania State Police due to the severity and multi-county nature of the investigation.

Gutshall is currently awaiting her next court appearance.
