QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that it has opened an investigation into the actions of police officers involved in arrests made during a protest in Quakertown on Friday.

According to officials, the review is being conducted as part of standard procedure whenever questions arise surrounding law enforcement use of force or officer conduct during an incident involving arrests or public demonstrations.

The protest, which involved dozens of participants, took place in the borough and drew a response from local police after reports of disruptive behavior and public safety concerns. Several individuals, including both juveniles and at least one adult, were taken into custody during the incident.

Authorities have not indicated that the investigation was prompted by any confirmed wrongdoing, but emphasized that such reviews are routine and intended to ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to departmental policies and legal standards.

The District Attorney’s Office will examine all available evidence, which may include officer reports, body-worn camera footage, witness statements, and other relevant materials. The goal of the review is to determine whether the officers’ actions were consistent with the law and established procedures.

Investigations of this nature are common in situations involving arrests during public demonstrations or incidents that raise questions about police conduct. Officials noted that the process helps maintain public trust and ensures that all parties are treated fairly under the law.

At this time, no timeline has been announced for when the review will be completed.

Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
