LANSDALE, Pa. (October 18, 2025) — Demonstrators gathered at the Lansdale Train Station Saturday morning for a “No Kings” protest, joining a nationwide movement focused on protecting democratic principles and pushing back against what organizers describe as growing authoritarianism.
The local event began around 9:30 a.m. at the historic train station on West Main Street, where participants rallied before taking a SEPTA train into Philadelphia to join the larger regional demonstration.
Organized by the Montgomery County chapter of Community for Change, the Lansdale protest emphasized peaceful action and non-violence. Supporters held signs and chanted slogans calling for unity, accountability, and the defense of constitutional rights.
Police and SEPTA officials reported no major incidents, though commuters and motorists experienced minor traffic and parking congestion near the station as the crowd gathered.
Saturday’s event was one of several “No Kings” protests held across Montgomery and Bucks Counties, each echoing similar themes of civic engagement and government accountability.
