Bethlehem authorities are investigating what officials describe as an apparent murder–suicide after two people were found dead late Friday night.
First responders were called just before 10:45 p.m. to a home in the 200 block of 10th Avenue, in Bethlehem, for a reported shooting.
When crews arrived, they found a 39-year-old woman deceased at the scene with gunshot injuries. A 42-year-old man was also located inside with suspected gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Investigators believe this was a domestic incident that ended in an apparent murder–suicide. Autopsies are scheduled as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved, pending family notification.
Police say there is no ongoing threat to the surrounding neighborhood.
This remains a developing story. More details will be released as officials provide them.
