A former Bucks County teacher has been sentenced to 90 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to child pornography offenses, federal prosecutors announced Tuesday.

Richard Adamsky, 66, of Warminster, was sentenced by United States District Judge Gerald J. Pappert. In addition to the prison term, Adamsky was ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release.

The court also ordered Adamsky to pay a $30,000 fine, $38,000 in victim restitution, a $10,000 Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act assessment, and a $20,000 assessment under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act.

According to federal authorities, Adamsky was charged by indictment in September 2025 and pleaded guilty in December to one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

At the time of his arrest, Adamsky was working as a seventh- and eighth-grade teacher at Nativity of Our Lord grade school in Warminster, where officials said he had taught for 38 years.

Court filings state that Adamsky knowingly received a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct on or about June 15, 2024. Investigators also found two computers and two flash drives containing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including prepubescent minors and children under the age of 12, according to prosecutors.

The case was investigated by the FBI Philadelphia’s Fort Washington Resident Agency, Warminster Township Police Department, Upper Merion Township Police Department, and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Maureen McCartney.

Federal officials said the case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse.
