EASTON, Pa. — Owowcow Creamery will donate 20% of sales during a fundraiser Saturday to benefit Wilson Fire Department firefighter Bobby Lewullis, who was seriously injured while operating at the Hotel Hampton fire in Easton.
The fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Owowcow Silk Mill location.
Lewullis was injured during the massive Feb. 20 fire at the Hotel Hampton in downtown Easton. He suffered serious injuries after falling during a self-rescue from the upper floors of the burning building after becoming trapped in heavy smoke.
The Easton fire displaced dozens of residents and injured multiple people, including firefighters. Community fundraisers have continued in the weeks since the blaze as Lewullis recovers from the injuries he suffered in the line of duty.
Saturday’s event gives the community another chance to support one of its own, with a portion of proceeds from every purchase going toward Lewullis’ recovery.
