Emergency crews were dispatched to the 2000 block of West Chew Street for reports of shots fired and an animal bite.
A witness told First Source News that two dogs were allegedly attacking and biting people in the area when Allentown police officers responded. According to the witness, officers fired shots at the dogs, possibly killing both animals.
EMS crews were called to the scene for at least one reported animal bite. The number of people injured and the severity of any injuries have not yet been confirmed.
The incident occurred near Phoebe Allentown, located along West Chew Street.
