BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Authorities are investigating after reports of shots fired near the D&L Trail in Bethlehem Township Saturday afternoon.
According to dispatch information, Northampton County received a call from a kayaker just before 5 p.m. The kayaker reported seeing bullets hitting the water near the area of Wilson Avenue in Bethlehem Township.
Two additional callers also reported hearing gunshots in the area.
Lower Saucon Police later located shell casings nearby, according to the report.
At this time, it remains unclear who fired the shots or whether any arrests have been made. No injuries have been reported in the information available.
The incident remains under investigation.
