WARRINGTON TWP., Pa. — Fire crews responded Thursday to a dwelling fire in Bucks County after solar panels on the roof of a home caught fire.
The incident occurred in the 100 block of Equestrian Court in Warrington Township. Initial reports indicated an exterior fire on the roof with minor extension into the structure.
A later update from the scene confirmed the fire had been located in the attic of the dwelling, prompting crews to open up the roof area and check for further extension.
Firefighters worked to quickly contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading throughout the home. Incidents involving rooftop solar systems can present additional hazards due to energized electrical components, requiring a more cautious approach during firefighting operations.
No injuries have been reported.
