BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Officials have confirmed that a third person has died following the violent explosion and fire that tore through a Bucks County nursing home just before Christmas.

Authorities say the latest victim died from injuries sustained during the December 23 blast at Bristol Health & Rehab Center in Bristol Township. The individual had been hospitalized since the explosion and passed away after their condition worsened.
Two victims were previously confirmed dead in the days immediately following the incident. Dozens of residents and staff were injured, several of them seriously, when the sudden explosion caused major structural damage, fire, and chaos inside the facility.
Emergency crews rushed to help evacuate residents, many of whom were elderly and unable to walk on their own. Some had to be rescued from damaged sections of the building as firefighters worked to bring the fire under control.
Investigators have said they continue to look into what caused the explosion. Early findings have focused on the possibility of a natural gas issue, but officials stress that the investigation remains active and no final determination has been made.
Multiple federal, state, and local agencies — including safety investigators and utility specialists — remain involved in the case.
Meanwhile, displaced residents have been moved to other facilities as crews and investigators continue to assess damage and secure the site.
This remains a developing situation, and additional updates are expected as investigators release more information
