
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle crash with entrapment Wednesday at the intersection of 6th and Cedar streets in the City of Allentown.
According to initial emergency dispatch information, firefighters were dispatched for a crash involving trapped occupants. Chief 43 responded along with Engines 6, 9, and 4.
Firefighters worked to free two patients who were trapped inside the vehicle(s). Both occupants were successfully extricated before being turned over to EMS crews for treatment. Engine companies also assisted by providing a driver for Medic 4 during the incident.
The extent of the patients’ injuries has not been confirmed, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Motorists experienced delays in the area while first responders worked to rescue the occupants and clear the scene.
