Two people were killed after a Tesla crashed into another Tesla, causing both vehicles to strike a building and ignite a fire in Bedminster Township, Pennsylvania, late Friday morning, sources reported.
The crash occurred at a building located at 6600 Easton Road shortly before noon. According to sources, a Tesla collided with another Tesla that was parked near the building. The force of the impact caused both vehicles to hit the building and subsequently catch fire.
The two individuals inside the first Tesla died from their injuries, while no one was in the parked Tesla that was hit. It remains unclear if anyone was inside the building at the time of the crash, but there have been no reports of injuries to any occupants of the property.
Images from the scene showed the burnt and damaged remains of the two Tesla cars, the affected building, and firefighters extinguishing the smoke from one of the vehicles.
The crash led to the closure of Easton Road between Quarry Road and Saw Mill/Old Easton Road for several hours.
