DUBLIN BORO., Pa. (Bucks County) – A woman was tragically killed on Saturday evening after being struck by a car while crossing the roadway in Dublin Borough, according to local officials.
The incident occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of Route 313 and Maple Avenue. Authorities say the vehicle was making a left-hand turn onto Maple Avenue when it struck the pedestrian.
“The vehicle was making a left-hand turn on Maple Avenue, did not see the person that was crossing the street, made contact with that person and the person was unfortunately deceased,” Bucks County officials confirmed.
Emergency crews responded quickly, but the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of family.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. No additional details regarding possible charges have been released.
This incident remains under investigation by local police.
