Snow began falling early Monday morning across the Quakertown area as the first wave of winter weather moves through Upper Bucks County and the Lehigh Valley.

Contents
📌 Current Conditions❄️ Forecast for Today⚠️ Travel Impacts🧊 Regional Notes

According to the latest forecasts, temperatures are hovering near 30°F, allowing the initial precipitation to fall as light snow. However, as the morning progresses, much of the region will see a shift to a rain/snow mix, followed by plain rain later in the morning and early afternoon.

📌 Current Conditions

  • Snow currently falling across Quakertown, Richland, Milford, Haycock, and surrounding areas.
  • Temperatures around 30°F, with road surfaces near freezing.
  • Light coatings are possible on grassy surfaces, vehicles, and untreated roads.

❄️ Forecast for Today

Meteorologists say Upper Bucks County is expected to see a dusting to 1 inch of snow before the transition to rain.
The Lehigh Valley — especially higher-elevation areas — could pick up 2 to 5 inches before the mix takes over.

Timeline for Today:

  • Early Morning: Light snow
  • Mid-Morning: Snow mixing with sleet or rain
  • Late Morning – Afternoon: Mainly rain
  • Evening: Cloudy, temperatures in the mid-30s

⚠️ Travel Impacts

Roads may become slippery early, especially in neighborhoods, rural roads, and bridges.
Once rain becomes dominant, travel should improve — though slushy or icy patches may remain.

Commuters should be prepared for:

  • Low visibility during bursts of wet snow
  • Slush on untreated surfaces
  • Possible black ice tonight as temperatures cool

🧊 Regional Notes

  • Northern Lehigh and western Northampton may see the highest totals.
  • The Quakertown area is too warm for significant accumulation, but snow is likely to stick briefly.
  • No major plowable totals expected in Upper Bucks.
