
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — At least one person was injured after a car crashed into a building in Allentown early Wednesday morning.
According to county dispatchers, the crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Tilghman Street near Fourth Street.
Emergency crews had to extricate at least one person from the vehicle. That person was later seen being taken from the scene on a stretcher. The extent of the injuries has not been released.
A power outage was also reported in the area around the time of the crash, according to PPL’s outage information. It was later restored. It is not yet clear whether the outage was connected to the crash.
No additional details have been released at this time, including what caused the vehicle to hit the building or whether anyone inside the structure was hurt.
