BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Bethlehem Police Department is asking for the public’s help as officers investigate a disturbing case of suspected animal cruelty that occurred earlier this week.

According to police, the incident happened on Sunday, July 6, 2026, at approximately 5:09 p.m. in the 700 block of Hellertown Road, near 770 Hellertown Road.

Investigators say a witness reported seeing a juvenile cat thrown from the window of a moving vehicle. Moments later, the kitten was struck by another vehicle.

Police said the witness was unable to provide a description of the vehicle or the occupants involved, leaving investigators with few leads.

The Bethlehem Police Department is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information that could help identify those responsible to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Animal Control Officer Ruch at 610-419-2027 or by email at ARuch@bethlehem-pa.gov.

Officials say that even the smallest detail could help move the investigation forward.

The investigation remains ongoing.
